S+S Wedding!
Shannon & Sumeet are married! And there’s so so much to say…!
First, let’s start with the fact that I used to babysit the bride… (yes, I feel old!) Having had the joy of watching her grow up, I couldn’t be happier with the man she’s chosen to be her partner. I was impressed by Sumeet from the start! And while they hail from different corners of the world, it turns out they’re both from places known as “steel cities”, Pittsburgh and Bhilai. Their similarities don’t end there and it’s for that reason that I’m so excited to watch them grow their lives together- it’s going to be an amazing journey!
Second, it’s the first time I’ve been BOTH behind and in front of the camera during a wedding! Standing in front of the camera was a bit of a thrill; however, I’m definitely more confident behind the camera. It was an honor to officiate their wedding and create a ceremony that celebrated two very different cultures. It was a moment I won’t soon forget. :) And a special thanks to my awesome second shooter for capturing some great shots of the ceremony!
Finally, Shannon is one of five sisters, the first of which who has tied the knot! It was quite a special moment to have all five sisters back together again - something that doesn’t happen very often. It was also really special to have Sumeet’s two sisters with us. Weddings are good like that… they bring together those near and far, while renewing feelings of love and friendship. Thanks for bringing us all together, Shannon & Sumeet! I wish you many years of love, happiness, health and adventure! Congratulations!
[A special thanks to Brugge on North for the fantastic venue!]
