Second Chance Sato : May 2016
A new group of pups from Save A Sato have just arrived and are looking for their forever homes! I had the treat of meeting them over the weekend- what a great group! They are up to date on vaccines and currently available for adoption. Contact Erica at Second Chance Sato to meet your new best friend!
MEET THE PUPS!
MAURICIO
UPDATE: MAURICIO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! :)
Male . 1 1/2 years
This sweet boy was found roaming the streets of San Juan, searching for food to eat. He was rescued by Save A Sato and nursed back to health. He is eager to interact and very curious about his new environment. I just love his scruffy face and big brown eyes!
LULU
UPDATE: LULU HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! :)
Female . 1 Year
Little Lulu's whiskers make me smile! She was found living outside of a warehouse with Yaya. An employee at the warehouse had been feeding her but couldn't get close enough to pick her up. Save A Sato came to the rescue and picked her just in time. She is very timid but seems to be warming up. You can tell she has a gentle personality and once she finds her forever home this little pup is going to blossom.
YAYA
UPDATE: YAYA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! :)
Female . 1 Year
Oh Yaya and those puppy dog eyes- this little girl has had a rough go up until this point. She was found with Lulu living outside of a warehouse. She is very timid but is showing signs of warming up. You can see in her face that she's eager to be loved. She has a gentle disposition and is making great progress in learning to trust people. She'll make a great companion dog!
MARIO
UPDATE: MARIO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! :)
Male . 6 months
Just look at that smile- Mario's face says it all!! He is thrilled beyond belief to be staying with Second Chance Sato. He has a big personality, lots of energy and a tail that doesn't stop wagging. He will make an excellent family pet! He's such a happy guy that you'd never know he had such a rough start at life. He has A LOT of love to give!
Second Chance Sato is a dog rescue organization located south of Pittsburgh, PA. Erica, Founder of Second Chance Sato, has worked to develop a partnership with the Save A Sato rescue organization in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Save A Sato is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to easing the suffering of Puerto Rico's homeless and abused animals. ["Sato" is slang for street dog.] They rescue dogs from the beaches and streets and give them medical care, food, shelter and LOVE! When the dogs are healthy, they are sent to shelter partners like Second Chance Sato. Together, these rescue organizations seek to find forever homes and reduce the overpopulation of stray dogs. All dogs are vaccinated before being sent to the United States.
Despite the long journey, new climate and heartbreaking stories of animal cruelty, the pups you'll meet below are eager to interact, very affectionate and ready to fill your heart with lots of kisses and tail wagging!
