Second Chance Sato : April 2016
MYKAELA
Female . 3 months
UPDATE: MYKAELA has been ADOPTED!!!
Meet Mykaela! Just one look into those puppy dog eyes and you won't be able to forget her face! I just love her cute little eyebrows and whiskers that go on for miles! She was rescued after nearly being hit by a car while crossing a busy road in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A Save A Sato volunteer picked her up and took her to safety. She's an adorable puppy, thought to be a beagle-dachshund mix and will probably grow to be 20-25 pounds. She has a lot of spunk and puppy kisses to share! She's traveled many miles in search of her forever home and is currently available for adoption through Second Chance Sato. Contact Erica at Second Chance Sato to meet this sweet girl!
Second Chance Sato is a dog rescue organization located south of Pittsburgh, PA. Erica, Founder of Second Chance Sato, has worked to develop a partnership with the Save A Sato rescue organization in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Save A Sato is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to easing the suffering of Puerto Rico's homeless and abused animals. ["Sato" is slang for street dog.] They rescue dogs from the beaches and streets and give them medical care, food, shelter and LOVE! When the dogs are healthy, they are sent to shelter partners like Second Chance Sato. Together, these rescue organizations seek to find forever homes and reduce the overpopulation of stray dogs. All dogs are vaccinated before being sent to the United States.
Despite the long journey, new climate and heartbreaking stories of animal cruelty, the pups you'll meet below are eager to interact, very affectionate and ready to fill your heart with lots of kisses and tail wagging!
