Happy Veterans Day!
In honor of Veterans Day, I'm sharing one of my latest photo sessions that shows the healing bond between a Marine Corps Veteran and his beloved pal, Samson.
As a dog lover, I appreciate the unconditional love dogs bring to our lives. They have the power to make us feel better by just being near- it's simple, pure and one of the greatest joys in life! During our session, D described how his bond with Samson has profoundly impacted his life...
After finishing active duty with the Marine Corps, D began the transition to civilian life. He immediately enrolled in college. It was a challenge for him to make friends with his peers because they were significantly younger. Conversation topics were difficult both with classmates and professors. D said the one thing that made the transition easier was adding his pup, Samson, to his life. Samson allowed D to open up to people, make friends and assimilate back to civilian life.
I love the story of Samson and I'm so happy that I was able to create these images for D and his family. As you scroll through the blog, you'll also see pictures of D's beautiful wife and daughter. While Samson is a hunk, he doesn't begin to compare to their little girl- what a cutie! Her smile will melt your heart!
